James appointed me at HTA as a senior landscape architect. James's team leadership was excellent being both an inspiration in his design abilities and as a motivational leader. He was calm under pressure and gave his team responsibility enabling them to develop their skills and confidence. He also encourages his team to work in a way that suits them allowing them to work closely with the architects, planners and other teams within HTA and to be proactive. ‘’The Chatham World Heritage steering group appointed HTA Landscape Design to develop a 30year vision for the Great Lines (Medway, Kent), and a £2m masterplan for a two year work programme.
