James and his team have designed, managed and delivered a number of complex and challenging projects for me on time and under budget! He is dynamic creative, an excellent communicator and never ceases to amaze me with the ingenious solutions he finds to problems which baffle the rest of us. I would unequivocaly recommend James without any hesitation
James appointed me at HTA as a senior landscape architect. James's team leadership was excellent being both an inspiration in his design abilities and as a motivational leader. He was calm under pressure and gave his team responsibility enabling them to develop their skills and confidence. He also encourages his team to work in a way that suits them allowing them to work closely with the architects, planners and other teams within HTA and to be proactive. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with him and then enjoyed working alongside him as a team leader myself. I do not hesitate to recommend him and his work.
“James runs a great team. He always comes from the positive view that there is a great design solution as opposed to making half hearted compromises. A great communicator who can bring design in at all levels.”
“HTA had the correct balance of creative innovation, social responsibility and sensitivity to public and private sector concerns. They worked hard to produce a collaborative environment working with clients. Their ambition and reputation helped our project to successfully apply for significant public funding that would not have been possible without their involvement. ‘’The Chatham World Heritage steering group appointed HTA Landscape Design to develop a 30year vision for the Great Lines (Medway, Kent), and a £2m masterplan for a two year work programme.
HTA swiftly became a respected part of the project team, winning the trust and confidence of local residents and stakeholders with their well-researched and genuinely consultative approach. At the end of their commission, the steering group minuted that they “thanked HTA for their clarity of thought, and professional approach to the commission.”
I have found HTA Landscape Design to be solution-oriented, strong communicators who have shown genuine enthusiasm for the project, and a commitment to discovering, analysing and meeting stakeholder aspirations. I would have no reservation in recommending them.’’
‘’I can safely speak for my colleagues when I say that we have been extremely impressed with HTA’s approach to this project, from their hands-on involvement and commitment to public engagement, to their creative yet extremely professional attention to detail, and their capability in managing the implementation against the odds, both on time and on budget. Their research into the heritage of the Gardens was very impressive, and brought to light information that even our own museum was unaware of, and their design work was sensitive and respectful to the original features.
I would have no hesitation in recommending their appointment in any similar public realm or landscape design project, and hope you have as positive an experience as we did.’’
